Dental Sealants

Dental cavities often begin in the grooves and pits on the biting surfaces of the back teeth where plaque tends to accumulate. A dental sealant acts as a barrier, “sealing off” the tooth from bacteria, food, and sugar, therefore keeping the tooth cavity free.  Sealants are placed on both baby teeth and adult teeth, and are a quick, painless, and easy way to keep teeth healthy and prevent tooth decay, and can last for decades!  The American Dental Association and American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry recommends sealants as an important step to lower the risk of tooth decay and cavities. The sealant materials that we use at Tree House Pediatric and Adult Dentistry are BPA-free, non-toxic, and entirely safe for children and adults.
